Nobuaki Ogawa教授,秋田大学副校长。1987-1995年担任秋田大学教育系副教授;1988-1989年在美国亚利桑那大学从事博士后研究;1995-1998年担任秋田大学教育系教授;1998年-至今担任秋田大学工程与资源科学系教授;2014年-至今担任秋田大学副校长。主要研究领域为气体探测传感器,并获得了一系列奖励,包括:International Award from theSociety of Materials Engineering for Resources of Japan,“Yamazaki” Prize from the Society of Materials Engineering for Resources ofJapan,Poster Competition Award from The 52nd &The 54th Annual conference of Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry。

报告内容概况:

Zeolitic imidazole framework-8 (ZIF 8) is apromising metal-organic framework (MOF) for the storage, separation, anddetection of gases at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. Intermolecularinteractions between ZIF-8 and adsorbed gas molecules which perform animportant role in the adsorption process, can be attributed to non-covalentbonds such as van der Waals forces. The resonance frequency of these bondsfalls in the terahertz (THz) frequency band. Skeletal vibration of organiclinkers also occurs in this band and seems to be affected by adsorption.Previous studies using DFT calculations suggest that the frequency of open-gatemotion exists at the range of 1 to 2 THz. Thus, gas adsorption onto ZIF-8 canbe observed by monitoring changes in its terahertz transmission spectrum as afunction of gas exposure.
